Cileat Waterfall Explore (2D1N)
Cileat explore which is located in northern side of Bandung with altitude between 650 – 1120 meters (AMSL) and surrounded by mountains that create an atmosphere around the place is cool, with four sites of waterfall that will be visited while trekking, one of the tallest is Cileat with height around 100 m.
Most of local people there are farmer and make brown sugar from sugar palm tree, so you will see terraced upland rice field, and see how the local people make the brown sugar.
What will you see there is not only the natural scenery and the local activities but also see the primates such as Macaque, Lutung, Surili, and Javan Gibbon also birds of prey such as Javan hawk eagle, Serpent eagle and Black eagle and you will take a time to have some observation using monocular or field scope, if you lucky you will see it all or a little because some of them are rare to see and endangered species. The animals that we concern there are surili, javan gibbon and javan hawk eagle that almost hard to find and they are endangered, so Cileat explore will be your new experience.

Day 1: Bandung – Cileat (L, D)
Pick you up around 08.30-09.00 am at your night spend or meet place, about 2 hours later we will arrive at the village take a rest and talk with local person about you what should do and don’t while there (local ethics), after lunch we continue our easy upland fields trekking to the local hut for our rest place at night. While trekking, we will see 3 waterfalls and take some rest, photos or swim there, if we arrive at the hut and the condition not yet dark we can still take some observation to probably see birds or primates find their place or nest to rest at night.
Day 2: Cileat – Bandung (B, L)
Early in the morning around 05.00-06.00 am you can hear calling voices of javan gibbon, after breakfast we continue our trekking about 30 minutes to cileat waterfall to see wonderful rainbow before it faded around 08.00-08.30 am and we will see local people harvesting the palm tree water “lahang”. Arrive at the waterfall, relax, swim and take photos, also probably we could see a group of primates. After there we back to the hut to have some lunch and see people that make brown sugar from the palm tree or primates and birds watching. After that we will return to the village where our vehicle waiting and return back to Bandung.
Age: Suitable for all age (Family Friendly) with several conditions.
Trekking grade: leisurely to moderate (A/B), In the rainy session (September-February) the rainbow could be not show if it already cloudy in the morning, the trail gets muddy and slippery.
